On or about Wednesday, October 14, the National Park Service will completely repave the ramps near Cabin John. Drivers should expect temporary, multi-day ramp closures traveling to and from the Clara Barton Parkway.

Phase 1: Eastbound Cabin John Ramp closed 7 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. nightly Wednesday, October 14 through Sunday, October 18.

Phase 2: Eastbound Cabin John Ramp closed 7 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. nightly Monday, October 19 to Saturday, October 24.

Phase 3: Westbound Cabin John Ramp full ramp closures starting early on the morning of Sunday, October 25 to the evening of Wednesday, October 28. NPS will post a detour for drivers.

Phase 4: Westbound Cabin John Ramp full ramp closures starting early on the morning of Sunday, October 29 to the evening of Monday, November 2. NPS will post a detour for drivers.

All work is weather dependent and specific days are likely to change.

Crews will return later in the project to mill and place surface asphalt, and install permanent striping and signage. Motorists should expect delays, but no full closure will be needed.
